Show Summary

Ripple put its XRP Ledger lending code in front of an AI-only security review this week, and the clearest explainer yet landed on how XRPL vaults actually generate yield. Chip and Jeff connect those two, then head into geopolitics.

  • Ripple began an intensive AI-only security review of Lending Protocol v1.1 for the XRP Ledger through the Sherlock Audit Engine, among the first major teams to do it. Chip's caution: the best AI still makes mistakes, and security has to run from development through audit and on into post-launch bug bounties.
  • Ripple developer Joel Mun's XLS-65 explainer breaks down the single asset vault. You deposit into a shared pool and receive shares, and the pool only earns when that money is put to work by a yield generating primitive such as the lending protocol. Alice deposits 100,000 RLUSD and redeems 110,000.
  • Vaults can be public, or private and gated by a permissioned domain, which is the shape regulated institutions need before they will move.
  • Ripple's latest product report maps the whole stack against real use cases. Cross border payments and stablecoins lead today, with intraday repo and collateral management right behind them.
  • Then geopolitics: Fetterman on Trump, Ken Griffin on deregulation, Spirit Airlines and 17,000 jobs, Canada and Lake America. Plus the new OTC bumper Jeff built live during the show with Claude and Remotion.
